Contrabaixista e improvisador
Rui Leal é contrabaixista e improvisador, com formação clássica e jazzística. Desenvolve a sua atividade artística nas áreas da improvisação livre e da música experimental, tendo colaborado com projetos como HHY & The Macumbas, Mécanosphere, Unzen Pilot e SROSH Ensemble, entre outros. Desde 2022 integra a banda Mão Morta, sendo também membro do trio Má Língua. Paralelamente, desenvolve trabalho a solo e em duo com Pierre Pierre Pierre.
Rui Leal is a double bassist and improviser, with a background in classical and jazz music. He pursues his artistic work in the fields of free improvisation and experimental music, having collaborated on projects such as HHY & The Macumbas, Mécanosphere, Unzen Pilot and the SROSH Ensemble, amongst others. Since 2022, he has been a member of the band Mão Morta, and is also part of the trio Má Língua. Alongside this, he performs solo and in a duo with Pierre Pierre Pierre.
