Hugo Vasco Reis é compositor, investigador e músico, tendo estudado em Graz, Zurique, Dresden e Lisboa. A sua prática artística abrange a música acústica, a música eletroacústica, a arte sonora e as instalações, estabelecendo colaborações com conjuntos, músicos e artistas plásticos e visuais. As suas composições recentes incluem uma investigação sobre os fenómenos sonoros e de perceção, abordando as formas de escuta e mediação, com o objetivo de integrar sons aparentemente silenciosos do ambiente sonoro na prática artística.
Hugo Vasco Reis is a composer, researcher and musician, who studied in Graz, Zurich, Dresden and Lisbon. His artistic practice extends to acoustic music, electroacoustic music, sound art and installations, making collaborations with ensembles, musicians, fine and visual artists. His recent compositions include an investigation into the sound and perception phenomena, approaching agencies of listening and mediation, with the aim of including apparently silent sounds from the sonic environment in artistic practice.
